Installed the Big Sur 11.7.1 update today, and now cannot open Microsoft Office Excel, Word, or Powerpoint, creates crash report that seems to imply it is tied to Open XML? Never had an issue until today. These aren't the latest versions of Office, but will be disappointing if they can't be used again to say the least.

Uninstalled Office, rebooted, installed Office again, rebooted, and now seem to be back in business.
There is a Microsoft Updater. I've found version 16.65 is very stable on Monterey, and I don't doubt it is stable on Big Sur too.
Thanks but the updater is typically run when you have the product open, which I can't do to check.
Also, the last few times when I've checked for the Office updates, it was requiring you to go to 365, which of course is at a cost.
Just surprised that the Big Sur update would remove a component that the Crash report is complaining about.
