Red dot on iPhone
I have recently change to sim only, changed the sim and now there’s a red dot there constantly and won’t go away, how can I get rid of it?

I had the same problem -
Thank me later 😃
Just call your voicemail even if it shows up there are no new messages hope this helps
I had the same red dot with no number inside of it. I deleted my last few voice mails (which appeared listened to) and it went away.
Yes, the “badge” means that you have a voicemail that you haven’t listened to, if it is on the voicemail label. If you have an unanswered call you will get a badge on the Recents label. If there is more than one pending message or unanswered call there will be a number in the badge saying how many you have. In general, badges on any app mean there is a notification i the app that you haven’t attended to yet.

That’s one possibility. It can also mean you have a missed call.
We found that if you take the iPhone and shut it off completely, then remove the new SIM card, wait a few minutes, replace the SIM card and restart the iPhone that everything was back to normal.

I HAVE THAT RED DOT 🔴. I HAVE HAD IT FOR MONTHS NOW. I HAVE TRIED SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO GET RID OF IT. I NEVER HAVE VOICEMAILS. NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK. WHY IS THERE NOT A PERMANENT SOLUTION?
Voice mail is not related to the active microphone indicator.
If you’re using an app that uses the microphone including the phone app, you will see the red indicator.
If you have tried it all, etc., then contact Apple Support.
It means you have an undeleted voicemail message
I tried the badges on off. And then I realized I had voice messages, I had not checked. D'oh!
It means you have voicemail messages
The first person I spoke to at apple had not a clue
after demanding a senior person I eventually spoke to someone who said it’s because your provider has stopped your voicemail and nothing to do with apple
2 hours wasted
RESET THE NETWORK
Instructions worked😊😊😊😊it the microphone setting THANK YOU!!!!! It was driving me 😵💫
Thanks, guys. but I meant the red dot without any digit in it. so even after I went to the voice mail (which was empty) I still have the dot. However, in one of the discussion replies, there was an answer to it.
I’ve ended all apps, no apps currently running. It never seems to disappear I’m unsure how to get rid of
I’ve tried resetting the phone and it’s still there like I have a voicemail which I don’t
