How do I deauthorize without iTunes?

Trying to pair a home pod mini to work with my Mac mini. Got as far as trying to play some Apple Music and got the message that the Mac is unauthorized and I need to deauthorize some of my other devices so use the Mac with the home pod mini. OK, checked support here to figure out how to do that, and most advised downloading iTunes to manage devices. I'd do that (although it seems like a lotta unnecessary steps), but when I try to install it, II keep getting a message that iTunes isn't compatible with my system and I should upgrade. Thing is, I'm already running the current version of Ventura (13). It all seems excessively complicated when all I want to do is deauthorize a device to two so I can use the home pod mini with my Mac mini. How can I do that?

Mac mini 2018 or later

The iTunes app for Macs was discontinued and replaced when macOS Catalina was released and cannot be installed on Catalina or later. See: What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support

You can use the Music app instead. See the following from Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support

To deauthorize a computer that you don't have access to, you have to deauthorize all of your computers. Then authorize each computer that you have again. You can deauthorize all computers only once a year.

  1. Open the Apple Music app or Apple TV app.
  2. Choose Account > Account Settings.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password. Forgot your Apple ID?
  4. At the top of your Account Information page, go to the Apple ID Summary section.
  5. Next to Computer Authorizations, click Deauthorize All.
  6. Authorize each computer that you use again.
