See "No Service"?

If "No Service" is shown on the top-left corner of your screen, go here to fix this: If you See No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Contact your Carrier, as their are the one who provide you with the service of configuring the SIM card. A SIM card is configured by you Carrier. It configures what services you have, and are able to use with the device.
