App Store

I signed into my iPhone App Store, went to update apps then, a pop up asking me to Sign In to the iTunes Store.


It does not show my Apple ID, it just shows that I am to enter my password.


I enter same password as I signed into the App Store.


Another pop up. This time it says Verification Failed Your Apple ID or password is incorrect.


I signed out of App Store. Went and signed back in, this time instead of hitting continue for it to automatically fill in, I hit Not____? to sign in. I type in user ID, then password.


I am signed back in the App Store.


Went to update Apps and again a pop up telling me Verification Failed.


I sign out of App Store again, this time before signing back I close down all open apps and windows, and I restart my iPhone. Enter ID and password.


I am once again signed back into the App Store.


Go to update Apps, 1 at a time. It all starts over again asking me to Sign In to the iTunes Store... Verification Failed…


This all started a couple weeks ago. Before that everything was fine.


I have signed into Apple dot com, plus iCloud, iTunes... just fine on the internet and the apps.


BUT, when it comes to updating apps all this garbage continues, and I am at a loss.


*Changing passwords is Not helping.

*Restarting phone is Not helping.

*Signing out and in are Not helping.


NOTHING is working to allow me to update my individual apps.


I am beyond frustrated. I am using my iPad to post this while my iPhone is doing an iOS update. Which it CAN do.


My iOS update did NOT help! 😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Do you use multiple Apple ID?

You are sign in here .  .  .  with your Apple ID & Password.

Your Apple ID is the personal account you use with all Apple products and services. It includes the email address and password you use to sign in, as well as the contact, payment, and security details that you use with Apple.

You can’t merge multiple Apple ID accounts.

 

What happens when you use the same Apple ID & Password that you use to sign in here?

You usually need a payment method -

Unless you have a NONE option in the payment methods listed in your account details, you usually need to have added a valid payment method to your account. Even to re-download or update apps and for free apps.

Normally, you may not remove a lone payment method until you have entered a new one first.


Is there a NONE option listed in the acceptable payment methods? Choosing that usually allows you to remove a lone payment method.


If the account is not allowing you to add an acceptable payment method, you need to speak to Apple to determine what is going on.
