Apple Watch Ultra/No Favorites under Phone

just picked up my new ultra, seems pretty nice so far, except...

under the phone/favorites screen there isnt any. everything else got ported over from the iphone 13pro, but not this. which makes it problematic to call people on the favorites list.

any ideas? i read to make sure bluetooth is on both the iphone and watch- did that and no change.

also read that rebooting both (phone first, then watch) would fix it - nope

is this a firmware bug or something else? thanks for any help

If yes, please make sure that you are using the latest version of watchOS.

Update Apple Watch software

If the issue persists after the update, please unpair your devices, then pair them back again.
