How can I leave recovery mode without doing anyting on my computer. I have been trying for hours to reset my iphone but its not working. I need to go to work but I am unable to with my phone like this.

You don't leave recovery mode, you need to let the process finished. Follow these steps here If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support
