ipad won't receive texts or facetime

I have an ipad mini 5th generation with cellular connection. SW v15.7.1.

I can send both texts and facetime over the cellular connection, but do not receive texts or facetime links. I receive and send data OK. I get email, utube, etc.

Any ideas?

Let's go ahead and restart your iPad.

"How to restart an iPad without a Home button

Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo."

If the issue persist, can you provide a few more details? Were you able to receive texts and FaceTime links perviously? Also, when did you first notice this?

Apparently, it's a closely held secret that ipads do not receive text messages as standalone devices. You can link an ipad to your iphone in a way that text messages received by the phone show up on the ipad. There are a number of links on the web describing this.
