I have a phone that an ex employee had but I can't get into it.

It keeps telling me to connect to ITunes but when I log on to ITunes I don't see the phone and don't know what to do next

But more likely, the ex employee used her/his Apple ID to Activation Lock the iPhone (unless you use a Mobile Device Management setup). If Activation Locked:
