MacBook Pro 3.5mm output to hifi

Trying to connect 2021 MacBook Pro 14” via 3.5mm jack to analogue input on HiFi (KEF LS50 Wireless ii) to see if this improves quality vs Airplay. Using a QED jack lead, but no sound out of speakers. Tested Jack socket with headphones and they work fine. Is there a setting I’m missing? Thanks

Solved - just had to increase the output volume of the headphone socket and the volume within Apple Music to near maximum.
