Why is it so hard to stop your phone from sharing your "Do Not Disturb" status?

I just had someone take it very personally. They're also a ridiculous human being. That's why I put do not disturb on in the first place. I had no idea I was sharing that status because it's so buried. I have to say, that's extremely humiliating. I think it should be turned off no matter what by default, with the user being forced to turn it on if desired. By the way, it's also hard to turn off.

First, you have turn on two-factor authentication, which is impossible to find by searching for it in settings, because for some reason Apple clearly forgot to tag that setting to render it visible by the search thing. You have to ask the internet and hope someone typed the exact same question you did into google. Then, if you do manage to turn on two-factor, you have to restart your phone at least twice.

This is just one of those little violations of privacy tech companies just add to their devices and I'm sick of it.
