I recently updated one of our MacBook Pros to 12.6.1 (happens to have Apple M2 processor) and now an outgoing connection to a remote backup server is failing. It seems to be converting/changing the The ordinary TCP connection to something else. The Apple firewall is not on.
Any ideas on what to look for?
Make sure your backup server has a static IP, and make sure the ports haven't closed on any portion of your network. Do some ping tests with the terminal to determine if there is an outage somewhere.
What happens if you temporarily shut down all the other machines? Is the server able to handle just one backup? Might be a bandwidth issue.
What protocol is the backup server using?
Server has a static IP, and ports are open. There are 23 other MacBook Pros that are all working correctly with this remote backup. They are all running 12.6. This is the only one running 12.6.1.
