Apple tv captions showing in double after last update.

Apple has been fumbling the release ball lately, any idea if there is a hidden switch for this? It started showing double captions today when watching the new acapulco episode.

Hello Mellydawgky,

We want to help go over this.

Have you tried turning off the captions and back on again? Sometimes a simple step like this or a restart can help resolve issues: Change subtitles or languages for videos in the Apple TV app or iTunes Store - Apple Support:

1. On a Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote, press the Play/Pause button while watching a video to bring up the playback controls. Or on a remote for a smart TV, streaming device, or game console, press the button that brings up the video timeline.
2. Use your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote to swipe up and select the Subtitles button . Or use your smart TV, streaming device, or game console remote to navigate to the Subtitles button .
3. Choose the subtitles that you want.

Change the subtitles or check CC in another language. Do the other ones work? Also make sure your TV doesn't have captions on as well.

Contact Apple Support for more help.

Best regards.
