Apple one premier - merging subscriptions

Here is my scenario:

  • we are a micro family - two apple IDs
  • ID-a has a subscription to Icloud+ (2TB) and Apple TV+ and is the organizer in family share
  • ID-b has a subscription to Music (individual)
  • we are planning to add News+ - hence signup for Apple ONE premier

Q: can we signup to Apple ONE without losing data from iCloud / playlists in Music / history on TV+ / etc? who can/should signup - or does it matter?

Thank you.

Hello JimKnopf,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. We understand that you have questions about Apple One. Looking over the article below, it sounds as though it would be best to have the Family Sharing organizer handle the subscriptions, especially if you'd like for all to have access to Apple Music.

Bundle Apple subscriptions with Apple One - Apple Support

If you already have an iCloud storage plan or other subscriptions
- Do you already have an iCloud+ plan? Learn what happens to your iCloud+ plan when you join Apple One.

- If Apple One costs less than your current subscriptions, you will not get a free trial so that you can immediately start saving money.

There isn't any mention of what would happen to current playlists or offline Music Library, so it could go either way: remain as is or need to be recreated/re-downloaded.

Hope this helps!

Best regards.
