How can I update my iPhone without being connected to wifi

You can update your iPhone 7 Plus as far as iOS 15.7.1 through a computer. Otherwise, older iPhones such as the iPhone 7 Plus require Wi-Fi for updates.

See the support documents about updating if you're using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, or if you're using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier or a Windows PC.

Update Using a Computer:

What to Update: Installed apps and the iOS.

How to do so...

A. Verify Compatibility:

Identify your iPhone model. The first thing that comes to mind in incompatibility being the culprit. So, confirm the model of your iPhone. If iPhone model is incompatible with iOS 16then it is because you iPhone does not meet the hardware requirements for this iOS version(s).

1. Back Up First:

IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update
