Battery drainage Why does my iPad’s battery drained up to 20% overnight even when I’ve turned on the flight mode? This is worrying and unusual since I’ve tried not using my iPad for a week and it only takes 20%. Not only that, sometimes it gets heated when not being used and suddenly the battery percentage dropped. There’s one time I left my ipad for about 8 hours without using it and the moment I wanted to use it, it died. The last time I checked there was about 60% more.

iPhone 15 battery drain in Airplane mode I’ve recently upgraded my IPhone XR to iPhone 15. I normally charge in the evening before sleep set the phone to low battery and airplane modes. The XR used to retain 100% for the morning. The 15 had lost 20% overnight with no use. Strangely it appears it was retaining full battery and then drops off a cliff at 3am when not in use. It has limped to 3pm through little use and low battery mode all day. Frankly it seems almost useless as a device for the modern age! Any thoughts on what is causing this would be gratefully received.

Why not leave it connected to the charger over night? It’s an old wife’s tale that this is bad
