After updating my MacBook Air to Ventura macOS 13.0 I cannot connect to 802.1x secured wifi (eduroam).
Any solutions?
I tried the recommendations in this post from moons0n.
- deleted eduroam profile (accepted new one) + reboot
- deleted eduroam from Keychain + reboot
- deleted the .plist files from Library/System + reboot, I found these and moved them to a folder on the desktop:
NetworkInterfaces-pre-migration-new-target.plist
NetworkInterfaces-pre-migration-source.plist
NetworkInterfaces-pre-repair.plist
NetworkInterfaces-pre-upgrade-new-target.plist
NetworkInterfaces-pre-upgrade-source.plist
NetworkInterfaces.plist
preferences-pre-migration-new-target.plist
preferences-pre-migration-source.plist
preferences-pre-repair.plist
preferences-pre-upgrade-new-target.plist
preferences-pre-upgrade-source.plist
preferences.plist
preferences.plist.old
Whatever I try, I do not get a working ip-address, always a 169.etc address.
The same eduroam-login works fine on the iPhone next to the MacBook.
Other wifi networks also work fine.
Interestingly, under System Settings > Wifi > Details > 802.1X it says
Authenticated via EAP-PEAP (MSCHAPv2)
in spite of the self-assigned ip-address.
