since MacOS update from 12 to 13 USB to serial converter doesn't work anymore

Hello,

I'm using my MacBook M1 to drive a digital controller for model trains. This controller is connected via USB and has an FTDI chip for converting USB to serial communication. Using MacOS Monterey, the digital controller worked fine. Since update to MacOS Ventura, the communication to the digital controller doesn't work anymore. I can see the USB device in system information but without any communication port. It looks like the port driver is missing. same digital controller works fine at iMac 2020 with Intel and Ventura.

Now it‘s working.

Today I made some more tests with an Intel iMac and my M1macBook. At the iMac MacOS Ventura 13.0 is running. When I connect my BiDiB device and start the BiDiB software, it detects the device at port **.URT1.

The Ichecked the settings in the software and found a setting for serial port driver. At the iMac it‘s set to RXTX.

I connected the BiDiB device to the MacBook and the software doesn‘t detect any port.

Also at the MacBook the serial port driver was set to RXTX. Then I changed this setting to FTDI and restared the software.

Now the software detects the BIDiB device and shows the FTDI serial number. It‘s possible to select this device and connect it.

Thank you very much for your support
