iPhone 13 camera not focusing when capturing a close up photo 8-10 cm away

There is a simple solution.

While not ideal, it may save frustration, anxiety and save you from needing to purchase a different phone.

Simply: use a magnifying glass.

Hold the magnifying glass between the phone and the object to photograph.

I found it works perfectly for those apps that want you to scan a barcode or capture your ID or credit card or check for deposit - and the phone just can't quite get the focus right. (so frustrating!)

I have found a fresnel lens magnifier that is the size of a credit card, perfectly flat, flexible, very inexpensive and fits in my wallet.
