"This iPhone is Open in Another Window" error

I have song files on my MAC that I want to sync to iTunes/Music. This has ALWAYS worked. Please do not suggest "Just use the cloud" because many of my songs are different versions, not available on streaming services, higher quality, etc. BUT, when I go to sync recently, it will not allow me to click. my iPhone in left hand panel as I always had to sync playlists. INSTEAD, it just says "This iPhone is Open in Another Window". But it isn't? I've closed everything else. Re-started my Mac, etc. Same error over and over. Can I get rid of "This iPhone is open in another window" forever and ever? Thanks!!

Yes, whew, my iTunes was looking at iTunes Store. I clicked on (My) Your Library, and could then see all the music on my iPhone. Silly little thing. Never experienced this hangup before. Thank you for the helpful suggestion (and this Forum).

iTunes shows no music on device Hello, i have two problems that both correlate with each other: In iTunes, under 'On My Device', it shows that there is no music on the device, and that there are no playlists as well; however, on the iPhone, all the playlists and music are on it. After last syncing the phone, every playlist that I had updated songs from, showed in iTunes as being empty from the sync. For some reason this only happened after I updated the iTunes software itself. I hope that someone can help me, as I am desperate to find out what the issue is, and if this has happened to anyone else. Thank you.

As the above mentioned I had the same problem, my scenario was doing a back and to transfe to another fon. Did the backup thru finder. Apple seems to have changed the work flow.

hi i have the same prob but the cmd and opt and esc didn't work for me anything else that i can do?
