Multiple Address Books for MacOS Contacts App using carddav?

It is almost 2023. iOS and iPadOS do this just fine. Can we please. For the love of God. Get multiple address book support for the MacOS Contacts app already Apple?

Use case: Nextcloud contact syncing to MacOS will only grab the first address book it finds and none of the other ones. This occurs when using carddav to access Zimbra contacts as well. This has been a thing for years. Always having my phone to figure out who is messaging me in iMessages has driven me mad.

Apple, PLEASE add regular CardDAV support to macOS Contacts, like you do for iOS!!!

(btw: the "Product Feedback" link doesn't even list the Contacts app under "macOS Apps", so we cannot even add feedback to that product...)
