Sorry, I thought I was searching for discussions but accidentally posted the question, to which I have found the answer. In recent systems (I'm on Catalina currently) DVD player, like Network Utility, Screen Sharing, and some other stuff, has been hidden in System/Library/Coreservices/Applications.

it should still be on your system. but I have a few questions for you.

which macOS are you currently running?

does the Mac have a built in optical drive? or is it external?

if it's external, is it the apple USB superdrive? or is it third party?
