I have been very confused about the streaming quality when I view content from the Apple TV+ app. The quality is very poor compared to the quality I get from steaming on Netflix, Disney+ , prime video, even YouTube. Would love to be able to enjoy the movies I’ve rented but it’s very disappointing. My download speed on my home internet is 850 mdps. Is there some setting that I haven’t selected?

What title did you rent?
Did you rent it directly on the Apple TV box? (It is also possible to do the transaction on a different device.)
Was this title advertised as being in HD or 4K quality?
Is there some setting that I haven’t selected?
It is possible to rent titles in lower quality, but that is not the default. There is a setting to prefer SD over HD or better, as intended for low bandwidth users that prefer that.
