My phone is apparently sending Emergency SOS messages to the people listed in my settings automatically without any explicit activation from my device. At least 6-7 messages have been sent in the last 15 mins. Is my iPhone hacked? How do I fix thiis?

A text message would only be sent to your contacts after an emergency call has ended. This would be expected behavior if you accidentally activated Emergency SOS? Do you have a call in your call history?
"After the call ends, your iPhone sends your emergency contacts a text message with your current location, unless you choose to cancel."
If you do see emergency calls you didn't make, we'd advise contacting Apple Support for a deeper dive.
