I can’t add my airpods to find my.

I recently bought some gen 3 airpods from the Apple store. I followed the set up instructions that came with it, and believed I had linked my airpods to my phone/account. But when I lost my airpods, I couldn’t locate them, and it appeared that they were never added despite the instructions in the case, and the website saying O had completed everything. I have since found my airpods, and I am again trying to add them to “find my” and the Instructions in the website are simply not working.

Hey WillIamTurner123,

AirPods are automatically part of Find My if Find My is enabled on the paired device. For more information, click here: Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. We recommending using the first section to ensure Find My is set up on the iPhone.

Once you confirm, follow the steps in the section labeled "How to add your AirPods, Apple Watch, or Beats product to Find My" or follow the steps below to set up AirPods:

  1. "Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the More Info button  next to your device in the list.
  3. Scroll down to Find My network.
  4. Make sure that Find My network is turned on."

Hope this help. Take care.
