iPad to hdmi splitter
Is it possible to connect an iPad Pro or air 5 gen to a hdmi splitter? For it to project to the TV and projector? Or much we use a dedicated adapter for this?
iPad Air, iPadOS 15

Hey there Jacq_yong94,
We recommend using the steps below to help get your iPad connected via HDMI:
1. Plug your Digital AV or VGA adapter into the charging port on the bottom of your iOS device.
2. Connect an HDMI or VGA cable to your adapter.
3. Connect the other end of your HDMI or VGA cable to your secondary display (TV, monitor, or projector).
4. Turn on your secondary display.
5. If necessary, switch to the correct video source on your secondary display. If you need help, use your display's manual.
Now the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch should appear2 on your TV, display, or projector.
For additional guidance, continue with the steps under "Get help" here: About Apple Digital AV Adapters for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Take care!
Let me explain the situation on my end.
We have done step 1 & 2. But our adapter is not connected directly to the projector as in one meeting. We need to switch devises due to different varies of reasons.
As such, it is connected to an hdmi splitter. From the hdmi splitter, it is then only connected to the projector. As we tested with a laptop, there is no issue for the laptop display it screen, does this mean it is not possible for iPad to have the same function?
Jacq_yong94,
If none of those steps helped, please reach out to Apple directly to see if this is a supported set up or not here: Get Support
Cheers!
