Incredible battery drain in new Ventura 13

Has anyone found a solution for this yet?!!

Take a look at the lengthy posting on 'Ventura Power Events'. May be similar issue.

Tested without Bluesnooze for a period of ten hours. Battery dropped from 71% to 70% with three safari tabs, VS code and Mail app. MBP 13 M2 on Ventura 13.3.

I use MBP 13" M1 2020 16 GB RAM.

My battery drains at 3% per hour after upgrade to ventura. Downgraded to Monterey and the problem persists.

No improvement.

I have the same issue when I upgraded from my MacBook 2020 M1 chip with Monterey to my new MacBook M2 chip Ventura. Already had contact with several service agents from apple but they did not have a solution so far

Apple - do you have a solution??? Spent countless hours with your support team reinstalling the operating system etc etc.

I tested in sleep overnight - down from 100% to 70% with nothing attached. Something is terribly wrong with Ventura.

I have tried to reinstall it and all that jazz, no luck.

Will we really have to go back to Monterey???

I am also having the same issue. I basically tried every solution available online to fix it, including reboot smc and also checked activity monitor. Everything is useless, everyday I wake up my MacBook Air m2 on Ventura 13.2 is totally dead or only left a few percent of battery. Apple please fix this problem. I have no any other way to fix it and I rely on the MacBook so much for my work. I will try to turn off the bluetooth and put it to sleep tonight to see whether the issue can be solve or not. I haven't tried to contact the apple support team but I think I will soon. I hope this issue get fixed soon. APPLE PLEASE DO YOUR JOB!!!!!!!

Same issue here. Was using Ventura 13.1 on Macbook Pro M1 2021. Battery started draining at one point. Downgraded to Monterey and it was a better, but not perfect. When Ventura 13.2 came out I decided to give it a try, but now it is draining again - around 25% for less than 24 hours in sleep mode, closed lid. This is really annoying. I am thinking of giving back the laptop and use the warranty. Anyway, I am glad that there is a topic here that we can discuss about this issue, let's hope they fix this with an upgrade soon...

How can Apple rollout an updated OS and not do adequate regression testing on all platforms to ensure that a MAJOR BUG like this doesn't get out to consumers? I'm really losing confidence in the Leadership Team at Apple at this point and I probably won't buy another laptop from them in the future. Come on Apple, wake up and fix this FUBAR problem that YOU HAVE CREATED and are obligated to correct!!!

I downgraded to Monterey, hoping the situation would resolve itself, but it didn't. I bought an expensive laptop for its long battery life. It discharged fully over the weekend with its lid closed. At this point, I cannot help thinking I wasted my money.

i think too many things are being discussed and for some of us nothing seems to work. I tried everything that is discussed in this support community and also elsewhere, even downgrading to Monterey did not solve it for me.

The battery condition is shown as good, which is confusing. If it is good, why is it then draining 100-60 over 12 Hr period ? Only Apple developers can check, recreate it in their test system and solve it.

Exactly the same here!! Everything you described is exactly my situation, even completely turned off is consuming battery. I downloaded the same apps too. I'm following up with apple support and they told me they're going to send my case to engineering. Waiting for answers. Air M2 here.

13" M1, 2020 Version 13.3.1 (22E261)

been using my 3rd gen iPad Air as extended monitor with my m1 Mac mini with Ventura, doesn't work over bluetooth so I keep it plugged in over lightning/thunderbolt. Should be charging but totally drains the iPad battery over a couple hours and iPad has to be recharged with a stand alone charger. What's with that????

Also, I've noticed, that after doing this step - my overall battery life, while working unplugged, has returned back to its normal (pre-Ventura) state of being able to work for 8-10 hours; whereas, after I've initially upgraded to Ventura, my MBP would rarely last more than 4 hrs.
