After I updating my macOS from Monterey to Ventura I am struggling with an incredible battery drain in sleep mode. I've already tried to change many options and even closed all my apps before entering a sleep mode. What I noticed in Activity Monitor is the fact that both kernel_task and WindowServer use a lot of CPU % and make a lot of wake-ups, but I suppose it is ok. Do you have the same issue with a new system?

So wanted to let y'all know how I resolved it:
Have had 0 issue since. 100% battery upon closing the laptop last night, 100% upon reopening it this morning.
Ventura 13.3. MacBook Pro M2 13".
Apple needs to ship a utility like this with the operating system.
I am Happy with Monterey and will not update OS before september 2024. And certainly not version less than 14.6.
NEVER UPDATE TO MACOS BEFORE X.6 VERSION IS RELEASED.
And it is completely absurd releasing new macOS every year.
so after updating to latest OS I thought this issue had been resolved, all seemed well, until today... 100% battery this morning, return home after 9 hours at work to find it at 60% YAWN. This is getting really tedious now, 2021 MBP M1Pro. nothing left plugged in, clamshell closed in its natural sleep position 🤣🤦🏻♂️ but seriously, sort it out Apple, this has been ongoing for months now
I have called Apple several times since February of this year when the problem started to happen. I spent months doing steps with them. Downgrade, SSD partition, reinstall Mac OS several times, among other unsuccessful steps. After these 8 months, I managed to change the logic board, trackpad and battery. I can't say what the trackpad is related to the problem, but I've already left the Mac in for assistance and I hope it works with this more aggressive attempt. Air m2.
Me too. Still looking for solutions. Charge it full, don't use it for a couple of days, it is fully discharged when I go to use it.
Same issue, battery health gone down to 97% after just 34 cycles!
Does anyone know if Ventura 13.2 solves the problem of power drain?
No change in 13.2.
So you switch off Bluetooth everytime you sleep the laptop? Not really a viable thing isn’t it?

This issue is still present in 13.2, running on 2021 M1 MacBook Pro, its about time this was sorted!

It still drains from 100 to 64% overnight in sleep mode.
I use 13 inch M1 Mac Book Pro (2020) 16 GB RAM 500 GB HDD. Mac OS Ventura 13.2
I switched off Bluetooth. Still 100-70% overnight battery drains. It’s a software issue which Apple is failing to acknowledge so far.
