iPods not syncing in Ventura

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro that I recently updated to Ventura. Since the updates, neither of my iPod Classics (120GB stock and a modified 80GB) syncs properly. When I connect an iPod, it shows up in the sidebar in Finder as usual, but when I select it, the Finder window remains blank. The sync menu never shows up.

Similarly, the iPod shows up in the sidebar in Music, but when I select it, either there is a message in the window that reads "This iPod is open in another window" (if it's open in Finder first) or the window says "Loading..." but never resolves (otherwise).

Two other (likely) relevant items:

  • When I plug in the iPod, I get a message in the Touch Bar telling me that I should use Touch ID to allow AMPDeviceDiscoveryAgent to make changes. No similar request appears on screen.
  • When I look at Activity Monitor, I see that there is a process under Finder "com.apple.amp.devicesui (Finder) (Not Responding)"

Any advice would be appreciated. I really don't want to give up on my lovingly curated music library.
