I live in MD and recently got my driver's license renewed. The MD website encouraged me to add my DL to Apple Wallet. I have iphone 12 running ios 16.1.1, but when I follow the instructions and press the "+" sign, I get a message telling me to add a card from another app. There is no option too add a card using the instructions that both Apple and the MD website provide. Any suggestions?

If that happened to me, I would try this next.
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
Then try adding the driver’s license again.

When you press the “+” sign, this is what you should see.
Can you provide a screenshot of this error you are seeing? Make sure you cover any personal information.
Have you performed the steps shown under “Adding ID to Wallet is easy” here?

Yes. I can't get that far because, as I explained, as soon as I press the "+", I get a message telling me to add cards from third party apps. It does not give me an option to choose "add an ID".

As I said, I've read all of those instructions and I understand the steps, but I never get that option. The only thing I get is a message telling me to add a card from a third party app.
