SiriusXM app on Apple TV 4K (3rd Gen)

I am unable to get the siriusXM app to login after upgrading from Apple TV 4K (Gen 1) to Apple TV 4K (Gen 3). It's driving me nuts. Played fine on the old player. I've tried to delete the app; sign out/sign in out of Apple TV; rebooted box. Tried to sign in using the code on siriusXM/atv, using my username/password directly into app on Apple TV 4K. Nothing works. I've followed every direction on troubleshooting from SiriusXM. SiriusXM plays fine in my car, on my Macbook via web, on phone, and can play via airplay 2. Just not with the app in Apple 4K TV. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm sorry haven't been back in following this.

I finally solved my issue with a full reset of the Apple TV box, not just a restart. Weird, since it was a brand new box. It wasn't that SXM wasn't upgrading their app since I had been using the app just fine on my 4K Gen 1 box for a few years and it never stopped working. Once I did the full reset, loaded the SiriusXM app, used the activation code and it worked, and has been fine. Just a pain that after the reset had to go in and re-login to every single app. Don't wait for SiriusXM to help. They were useless. Try the reset.

I have this problem too, but in my case, it is not a result of upgrading to the new Apple TV box. If you check the information in the (tvOS) App Store, you’ll see that the SiriusXM app hasn’t been updated in over a year. That suggests that as Apple has been upgrading tvOS over that time, the Sirius XM app has not kept up.

I can’t logon to SXM streaming on my Apple TV. One problem might be that the user ID is incorrect and I can’t change it to the proper ID. Should I give up until SXM corrects the problem? In anybody’s experience, can I cancel my subscription in the middle of it?
