Calendar Search not working on iPhone

The search function in the calendar app no longer works. No matter what I search I get “no events”. Does anyone know how to get this back? The events are still in the calendar, they just aren’t found using the search option.

I was just on the phone with Apple support about this same issue and here is the fix that they gave me that worked: Settings>Mail>Account (select the correct account)>Calendar

then toggle OFF calendar. It asks if you want to delete the account and you accept. After about a minute, toggle it back on, and the calendar entries will start repopulating, and the search function will start working. Depending on how many calendar entries you have, it will take a while to update, but I have thousands and it updated in less than one hour. Search function works again.

Thanks! My iPhone calendar search was only returning some appointments but not showing many other appointments.

The recommendation to toggle the below settings off and on worked! Seems like the toggle off and on triggered re-indexing so I had to wait a while before the search functionality was fully back but after maybe half an hour search is back to showing all the results it should. Thanks again!

settings-> siri and search -> calendar: toggled off and on again both “show app in search” and “show content in search”
