Sony Bravia Airplay Code Not Being Accepted

So I purchased my new Sony A80J 4K Oled TV and it’s amazing! However, every time I tried to set up Airplay, the code would not be accepted. (Not rejected, but it just didn’t seem to go through). I FINALLY found a solution and it’s not currently on the internet.

so after ensuring that you have the airplay enabled on the TV and the Sony Policy Agreement has been accepted in the menu, you have one additional step (unless the above already worked for you. It didn’t for me). Restart your phone, and On your Google home app, click on your TV, and you should be able to adjust the volume. On the bottom left corner, an option for remote should appear (even if you arnt connect to Google cloud) click that. Then, go to your internet browser on your phone, and try streaming AirPlay from an online video (any video will do as long as it’s web based and not YouTube chromcast etc. make sure it’s AirPlay). And that should do it. That fixed the issue and I could not access AirPlay and input the code for my Apple TV movies from my phone etc and stream it to the TV :) let me know if this helped!
