my email will not send states username or password is incorrect. i check and everything is roght

I have Comcast and my email will not send. It states username or password is incorrect. Everything is right anyone know of this issue?

Your phone knows whether the outgoing mail server’s username and address is correct or not. An email account has 2 identities, one for incoming mail and another for outgoing. They are usually the same, but don’t have to be. If you changed your email password recently you had to do it in 2 places.


The easiest way to fix the problem is to go to Settings/Mail/Accounts, delete the account, restart your phone, and add it back.
