iPhone speaker not showing as option for music

Hello - a couple of days ago, the speaker icon disappeared as an option for music and podcast playback. The speaker option is only available for calls. I’ve tried resetting the options in Sounds & Haptics, I’ve disconnected Bluetooth, and I’ve restarted the phone. None of these has solved the problem.

Music Progress Bar Missing When I open the music app I see the current selection and the "Playing Next" list, the forward, backward and play buttons, the volume slider, but no progress bar. This happened suddenly after many years of working correctly. I have an iPhone 13, and the latest iOS.

And for no reason at all, it just started working again.
