M1 MBook Air 2020 gets rubbish LG27qn880 results

Hi all.

I just got my LG out of the box and have connected both the HDMI and USB C cables that came with the monitor. In short, the pictures are awful, and when moving say photos around the screen I can see windows open that are behind it as ghosts and contrast and colours horrible.

I've looked at the resolution, messed with the LG settings but it's just not playing ball. Doesn't make a difference whether using the USB C or HDMI connections.

Im in mirror mode and it's fine on the MB Air screen.

Using Ventura.
