Unlocking phone opening random messages?

Using iOS 16.1.1. It probably happens in other apps too, but I notice if I lock my phone when messages are open or Facebook messenger are open, and I unlock the phone, it will randomly open to a random chat or message.

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks.

Hello Rheon123,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

We were able to find this:

Wake and unlock iPhone
iPhone turns off the display to save power, locks for security, and goes to sleep when you’re not using it. You can quickly wake and unlock iPhone when you want to use it again.

More details can be found here: Wake and unlock iPhone

Your device may open to the last screen you were on. If it is going into random message threads then we would recommend contacting Apple directly. You can do so by going to Get Support

Cheers!

Yes, iPhone 12 Pro, upgraded to 16.1.1 a few days ago, and have been having weird little glitches with cell and Wi-Fi connection but nothing major, until today. My phone began to randomly unlock in my pocket, skipping songs in Apple Music, opening TikTok or other apps, and a couple times locked me out for 10 minutes as if I had entered an incorrect passcode.

If it were just the passcode lockout, I would chalk it up to the sensitivity of the touchscreen maybe being adjusted by the update, but opening apps seems a little weird.
