How to make photos order consistent between the app and uploading
I just updated to ios 16, uploading photos now goes from the newest at the top to oldest at the bottom, instead of oldest at the top to newest at the bottom. The order changing isn't the worst thing in the world, but it is extra annoying when the actual photos app still goes oldest at the top to newest at the bottom. Is there any way to change either the photos app order or the upload photos order so that they're consistent with each other?
According to this article (Organize and find your photos on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support), there is a sort button under the more tab in the top right corner. This is true for albums I created, but not for the recents library which I normally use.
Here is the order of photos when in my photos app in the recents folder, with the most recent photos at the bottom.
However, when uploading photos to another app, whether it be messages, safari, mail, etc., the newest photos are at the top. You can tell because in the latter, the homework (the most recent photos) is at the top, while in the former the homework is at the bottom. This is something that, as far as I know, was just changed for ios 16; in previous versions, it was the most recent at the bottom, like in the photos app, but now it's extremely annoying to have to deal with two different orders when uploading to another app.
Here, the sort button exists for a test album I created. I normally look through my recents album instead of an album I made though.
The sort button, as advertised by the other thread, does properly have the sort by newest/oldest function. This is good, but it only exists in albums I created.
However, there is no sort button for the recents tab, so I can't make it consistent with when I try to upload to another app. The sort function is also missing from every album created by default, such as favorites, hidden, and all of the media types.
