White screen

During normal use, my phone suddenly had a problem with a full white screen. My phone was purchased in the US five months ago but I‘m working in the Maldives. When buying this phone, the staff of the apple store told me with certainty that as long as I buy apple care, my phone can be repaired in Maldives if there is a problem. But after visiting the only authorized repair shop in the Maldives, I got a negative answer. They only accept Asian models. What should I do now?
