If the screen on your iPhone is going black while on a call and doesn't wake back up, then that indicates there may be an issue with the proximity sensor that detects when the iPhone is near your ear.

To troubleshoot, test after removing any case on your iPhone, as perhaps a case may be interfering with the sensor. If the issue persists, ensure iOS is updated by tapping Settings > General > Software Update, and reach out to Apple Support for service assistance: Contact - Official Apple Support
