Import mailboxes from Mojave to Monterey?

I am trying to import specific work mailboxes I had created on Mojave on an older Mac Pro to an iMac running Monterey. The older mailboxes are on a time machine backup on an external drive, but I cannot find them, and the Mail Import app on Monterey did not list them. Where are they? and how can I import them?
