When i’m wearing apple watch and using my phone, all notifications go to my watch and not my iphone. How can i change the notifications to show on my phone screen instead of my apple watch when i’m using my phone?

Your watch is doing as it's supposed to do. When you wear your watch and the phone screen is locked, notifications go to your watch. If your iPhone is open (screen active), notifications will go to your iPhone.

I almost posted that response but the question seems to be back-to-front.
The author said "How can i change the notifications to show on my phone screen instead of my apple watch when i’m using my phone?' which is the direct opposite.
I wonder what happens to notifications when speaking on the phone? (I don't know!)
Thanks LD. I misread the question. When someone is using their iPhone (i.e., the screen is active), notifications should come to the phone. I can say from personal experience however, if I'm on a phone call, notifications come to my watch.
