Apple notes - tag function not working for a specific tag

After recently updating to IOS 16.1.1 on my 14 pro max, a single tag in notes constantly disappears, it never did this before. All the other tags work fine. Weird.

Hello bluntfunkontheone,

This page here can help provide some helpful info regarding tags: Use Tags and Smart Folders in Notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Is the note that the tag is trying to be added to a locked one? We ask as the page helps to note the following:

You can't lock a note that has a tag and you can't add a tag to a locked note.

If you haven't yet, it may help to try a standard restart of the device, as that can help with some odd issues that come up: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right
2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

If nothing above helps, you may wish to try deleting the tag manually, and then re-creating it.

Cheers.
