I am using a Vodaphone spot 4-5g system. Wifi is workon the mac. The ipads and ipod work perfectly, but I cannot connect on the Mac Catalina . Does anyone have any suggestions. Am not particularly tech savy. Would appreciate any info. Thanks in adva

I am using a vodapone 4-5 g wifi system. No router. The ipads and ipod work superbly but I cannot get connected to the Mac desktop even though the wifi is on. I am not particularly tech savy but would appreciate any help. My thanks in advance.

The wireless transmitter must be at least 6 feet/2 meters from the computer. If it isn't, overlapping waves can prevent access. Make sure the wireless transmitter is using a WPA2 password secured network. If your Vodaphone box has ethernet ports, and is close to the machine, it might be wiser to link the computer directly via ethernet, even if adapted to ethernet.

Good afternoon Brody. Thank you for trying to help. I have now resolved the problem, or rather Apple support did. A young lady from AS got me back on wifi initially, but it took 25 minutes because I was not on line. I then did a diagnostic test which revealed all sorts of problems. A gentleman from AS then took over and resolved that problem in 5minutes. Basically it was, amongst other things just location. So very sorry to have taken so long to reply. Roy
