Cannot use external display feature on my iPad

I bought an ipad pro 2020 but cannot use the new external display feature. but the product is newer and still has 1 year warranty. I don't understand how Apple slows down a product so fast that people regret buying it. The warranty is not over yet, but new features are not used, it's like a joke. Please bring the external display feature to A12Z processor, A12Z (faster than most computers), I bought the product trusting your promise of this launch. now you say A12Z processor is slow. I think it has to do with sales policy. Please bring external display feature to A12Z processor.

There will always be new, better, greater or “something else” products - be they computers, cars or something else - with features and capabilities that surpass whatever you have today.

Your existing iPad is no less capable than it was the day you bought it. True, some new features that require specific hardware are not available to your two-generations older iPad - but this this doesn’t change the capabilities that you already have.

Stage Manager hadn’t even been hinted, let alone announced, when your 2020 iPad Pro was launched to market. No doubt the next iteration of iPad Pro will have features that will not be available to the now-current 2022 iPad Pro - as technology and capability will have taken its inevitable next steps.

Apple do invite submission of constructive comments and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal - this being the most appropriate channel though which to voice your concerns to Apple. For iPad and iPadOS:

Availability of Stage Manager and other new features are not just linked to the CPU/SoC - but also the RAM configuration.

Stage Manager feature is available for these models of iPad:

  • iPad Air (5th generation)
  • iPad Pro 11-inch (all generations)
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later)

Feature availability is usually limited by system hardware - CPU and available RAM being critical to some advanced functionality. Models supporting Stage Manager have an M2, M1 or A12X CPU (upon which the M-series CPUs are reportedly based) - with at least 8GB RAM.

Presumably you refer to Stage Manager support for external displays.

Basic screen mirroring should be available to an external TV or connected monitor with iPadOS 16.1.x. However, Stage Manager support for external monitors is not yet available - this feature being planned for release later this year.

Be patient. It’s coming 🙂

I didn't mention that exactly, my problem is; As you know, M1 and M2 iPad models have an external display feature, but A12Z and Ipad pro do not have this feature. however, at launch, the A12Z processor was said to be faster than most computers. In short, I have a product with a warranty of more than 1 year, but I cannot use its new features. Apple has repeatedly piled up iPad models, and the generational power gap is huge. This difference should not affect us and the ipad pro should come with a model with A12Z processor or I will be more upset. External display support should come to the ipad pro 2nd generation product.

Then, a company that produces new products in such a short time should give a new version ipad as a gift to its users. You can't understand me. I bought this product thinking it would last a long time and get updates for a long time. and I didn't buy the base product either, I bought the 512gb cellular model. I'm a student and I said it would work for me for a long time, but we are looking at the app, a few months later, the device with M2. At least, if it is releasing a model that will make such a big difference in the future, Apple should have informed us and we would invest our money accordingly. I'm a student and I don't like my money to melt. Again, I am calling out to Apple from here, please offer external display support to products with A12Z processor.

Dear Apple Corporation, iPad pro models with M1 and M2 processors offer external display support. The A12Z processor, on the other hand, should be given 4K monitor support or QHD monitor or FULLHD external display support, not 6K monitor support. users are very victims, they are in favor of closing this deficiency, at least as I said, it seems that this feature should be offered to users, even in full HD.
