I am trying to use find on page in a document that is opened in safari. This used to work. I can search web pages fine, just not pdf documents. Anyone else?

Thank you very much. Now it works perfectly again.
Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Experimental Features > ReadableByte Stream, then turn ON ReadableByte Stream was the Solution.
Small hint: I could work around the problem before, if I held the IPhone in landscape mode, then the search worked without problems.
I’ve just updated my ios to 16.5 and find on page still
not working on PDF files! Anyone else having the same problem?
me too, find on page not working yet...
Same issue. Any updates since?
Either this or it does find some hits but when you click the arrows to go to them, the screen jumps to a place but the word is not on that place
can’t believe they won’t find out a solution for this
I have never been able to use this function. It worked on my XR. I can’t use it on web pages or docs. It really p***** me off.
Yes, this worked. I just tried it. It also appears if you turn phone sideways. However, I didn’t realize that it’s in the action menu and it works! Thank you. I don’t always want sideways.
It is now september 2023 and apple is ignoring this problem!!! I must move over to my windows laptop to find anything in a document!!! Apple, this is pathetic.
My thorough test shows that Find on page function must have some sorta “fake caching” problem.
After I restart (power cycle) my ipad with a long push (holding), the first Find on page attempt seems to be succesful with a ratio of app. 3 from 4. The second attempt fails almost always even in the same pdf. So it has nothing to do with broken or healthy pdf assumptions.
I tested only Safari with an 8th gen Ipad running on 16.1.1
