I am trying to use find on page in a document that is opened in safari. This used to work. I can search web pages fine, just not pdf documents. Anyone else?

It is now september 2023 and apple is ignoring this problem!!! I must move over to my windows laptop to find anything in a document!!! Apple, this is pathetic.
Can you please provide a definitive solution to the problem. Find on page is like the control+f on iPhone. Normally it always worked but it’s not working now.

Either this or it does find some hits but when you click the arrows to go to them, the screen jumps to a place but the word is not on that place
I have never been able to use this function. It worked on my XR. I can’t use it on web pages or docs. It really p***** me off.
Try holding the icon on the left for a couple of seconds. That usually works but it doesn't always highlight the word.
Yes, this worked. I just tried it. It also appears if you turn phone sideways. However, I didn’t realize that it’s in the action menu and it works! Thank you. I don’t always want sideways.
I have had this issue for a long time now… sometimes; if you Google search the word on the page you want to find the word for it, then go back, do the find… it works <sometimes>
