Apple Pencil Not Working But Connected

I have a first gen apple pencil and an iPad Pro. Randomly my pencil just stopped working with my iPad. I have tried restarting my iPad, turning bluetooth off and on, forgetting the device and so on. The apple pencil is fully charged and connected to my iPad, but it just won't work. It's not the tip either, I've made sure its fully screwed in and I have even tried replacing it. I have tried to use another apple pencil with my iPad and that doesn't work either, so I think it might be an issue with my iPad not the apple pencil. I am hoping there is something I have yet to do short of buying a replacement. I am a student and I heavily rely on my apple pencil and iPad, so I really would appreciate any suggestions.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 15

You seem to have explored all avanues for a possible fix/solution with no success.

Things can go wrong with any technology devices for any reason at any time.

Sorry.
