Are these drives all normal?

Are all of the drives/partitions under Disk Utility normal?

Yes, this is completely & totally normal and as it should be.


In your screenshot you have highlighted the Macintosh HD snapshot. Do not touch this item. It is your macOS Signed System Volume (SSV) which is what your Mac runs from.

That looks normal for APFS.

Apple File System APFS uses lots of containers instead of rigid partitioning.


Containers do not take up ANY additional space, and they allow all items inside the container to share free space without partitioning into rigid partitions. Different items in a container can be encrypted or not, locked or not.


A snapshot is a set of links (no actual files) that can replicate any subset of a drive up to the entire drive.
