importing m4r

I have purchased ringtones (not from apple). I have the M4r ringtones in a folder in finder. I'm running Ventura 13.0.1. How do I move the file to my iphone (ios 16.1.1)?

Hello seeker_108,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

You may be able to use iTunes to sync your ringtones. These steps may help:

  1. Open iTunes and connect your device to your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Click the device icon in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window. Learn what to do if you don't see the iconThe device icon in the upper left corner of the iTunes window.
  3. From the list under Settings on the left side of the iTunes window, click the type of content that you want to sync or remove.* To turn syncing on for a content type, select the checkbox next to Sync. The checkbox next to Sync Music in iTunes.
  4. Select the checkbox next to each item that you want to sync.
  5. Click the Apply button in the lower-right corner of the window. If syncing doesn't start automatically, click the Sync button."

More details can be found here: Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? What happens when you attempt to sync your tones? Where are they originally from? Also, which windows version re you currently using?

Cheers!
