iPhone SE: How do I make Siri speak out loud again? It only writes responses now. When I ask Siri "why I can't hear it", it writes back, "this is as loud as it gets". I've turned the phone off and back on, but no change.
(I think quiet response coincided with the 16.11 update.)

Is your iPhone Ring/Silent switch set to ring? Also, under Settings > Siri & Search, check "Siri Responses". You'll see an option for spoken responses, and can tweak that to your preference.

I turned the phone off again, and when I turned it on Siri was talking out loud. Fixed!
I'll hold on to your suggestion because as it stands (in working order): Settings> Siri & Search>Siri Responses, "automatic" is checked - so I'm leaving it there for now.
